Serving the Brentwood Area for Over 55 Years
The first gathering of what would become St. Peter's parish was on March 12, 1939, when six families met for a worship service at Moore Elementary School in Brentwood. It was an outreach mission of another St. Peter's Church, located in Oakland.
St. Peter's first building was dedicated in 1941. It is part of the current building, which houses the office, commons room, and classrooms.
In May 1954, St. Peter's obtained its first priest and officially became a parish. As the parish grew, so did its demand for space, and in 1957, construction began on what is now the sanctuary and undercroft.
